My humans are very excited as it’s the beginning of their favourite human sport event of the whole year. They got pretty excited about Crystal Palace winning the FA cup, but the Torr de Franceland goes on for WEEKS! The She Human keeps a good supply of cat biscuits for me and French sticks for her and the He Human.

I am particularly interested in tomorrow’s race. It has a place called Mont Noir which makes me feel very included. I felt even more included now because there is also a place called Mont des Cats as well. I will make sure that the She Human takes a photo of them on the tee vee screen.

The She Human is full of Torr de Franceland stories.

She bought a new bike a while back. It looks a bit on the small side for her, but she likes it because she can touch the ground with her toes, which is quite unusual for her. When me and the He Human stand there laughing she points out that some enormous German rider, Jens Voight once fell off his bike during the Torr. He was not able to get a replacement bike from the team car because the team car was ahead of him and they can’t turn round. So Jens Voight borrowed a child’s bike from the roof rack of a children’s team that was following, caught up with the team car and get his replacement bike.

If a he human of 1.9m can ride a child’s bike. The She Human reckons she can ride her teenager’s bike.
