As I am a cat, I am rarely bored, there is always something I need to attend to. Like keeping an eye on my humans, making sure they feed me lots of biscuits, patrolling my garden and running up and down the stairs to annoy my humans.

I was very surprised to see that the orange Trumpy one spent quite a lot of his military parade yesterday looking bored witless. Of course, it could be said that it wouldn’t take much to bore the Orange one witless because there are very little wits there in the first place, but I digress.

Trump once went to France and he got to see the French Bastille Day Parade. Obviously he was not happy because the French humans had a very grand event that wasn’t about him. So he headed home and decided to arrange a military parade of his own. Choosing the date of the 250th anniversary of the US Army, he had soldiers marching in the streets of Washington, tanks rolling along and all sorts of weaponry on display. Of course the fact that this military hoopla coincided with his 79th birthday is purely coincidental.

Unfortunately the US Army does not seem to be quite as good at parades as the French Army (or indeed the British Army who were having their annual marching-about-for-no-useful-reason day yesterday with the king’s birthday which was a drill-fest of the highest order). Trumpy’s parade was very dull and numerous members of the platform party seemed to be nodding off or checking their phones.

Apparently about 10,000 turned up to watch the military parade whereas elsewhere in the country Yewnited States humans were gathering in huge numbers of express their concern that Trump seems to have the idea that he is the King of the Yewnited States. In the Yewnited States they take a very dim view of kings, especially as they had a whole war years ago to get rid of the British king and become a free country. I know that Art Human was at her local demo, which was very peaceful and good natured. I would expect no less from Art Human.

However I am wondering if Art Human realised that I was bringing the solidarity of the Yew-Kay black cats to her demo?

I hope she saw this placard and thought of me.
